Eastern and western front
The eastern and western front greatly differed yet shared some similarities. The eastern front contained the Russian empire, Romania, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and Germany. While the western front was made up of France, uk and it's colonies, Italy, Belgium, United States, Portugal, and Siam. The eastern front had a vital impact on the time period. Surprising as it is, their contries involved weren't entirely prepared for battle. They were ill equipped and very large as well as lacking valuable transportation. They also lost the most amount of people. A total of 3 million people died and over 9 million were severly wounded. The war had the greatest impact on Russia though, causing a lot of damage and the collapse. The remnants from this still exist and are apparent in Russia today. The western front was well known and most famous. Not many people died total despite all the countries involved. The USA and France forced Germany to the Marne and used a series of techniques to obtain control such as trench warfare. Advancement in technology greatly effected the outcome of the war. It both helped and hurt both sides. Each front using different methods to help them overall. Almost every country that participated lost it's form of government on both sides, one thing that they both had in common.

The Great War
The Great War, also referred to and most know as WWI, had many origins rather than just one main reason the war first occurred. During this period, European countries began forming alliances with other neighboring countries. This would give a sense of protection as well as provide aid and security when a country most needed it. Presently, at this time, Austria and Serbia were having a minor fight. Due to the allies they formed, many people and countries were essentially dragged into the war. They had an agreement and knew that they had promised to provide aid when it was most needed. This caused many countries to get involved in a minor war, that soon erupted into a much bigger war, dragging everyone in on all the action. This caused many countries to become rivals, which many still continue to be to this day, due to the sides that they picked.

Goonies
Hey everyone. Mariah here. Movies surround us everywhere. They are probably one of the things that defines our culture today. They seem to connect to you rather easily or somehow appeal to your emotional desire. Whether it's your favorite book turned into a movie, your favorite celebrity, or simply looks like a good movie, we all love movies. The thing is, despite this idea that we love a movie simply because it's a movie, there is actually more to that. We love movies because we can connect to them or can somehow relate. That's what makes movies so enjoyable, the fact that that can actually happen to you or has already happened to you. One movie which relates to me and my life is the GOONIES. Probably one of, if not the greatest movie of the 80s, arguable of course. Basically, a group of kids go on a wild adventure hoping to find a lost treasure. Uniting them as friends. It proves to showcase that no matter what life throws at you, enjoy the adventures because those are the best times. Even with friends, you never know how long you may get to see them. This is true for high school. You go on this journey for four years with your friends, and they are the ones who support you along the way and help you achieve your goals. Because in the end, the journey is totally worth it regardless of setbacks and obstacles. That is true for me and my life. I face many obstacles daily, especially in school. I know that in the end, it will be worth it all though especially with the goals of going to college.
